I only recently found out about AoE2. After playing all the Civ games I cannot believe that I didn’t play AoE2. What I like about AoE2:
- It reminds me of C&C or Red Alert, which I still play.
- I like the history of the campaigns.
- I like that I can use cheat codes.
- I like that a game takes about as much time as a Bus takes from the mountains to Denver.
What I don’t like:
- It isn’t really fun how slow the game would be to gather all the resources and fight battles with the limited armies.
- I feel the units are unfairly biased to horseback archers and Monks and rams and trebuches. That’s about all the units I build.
- It can feel a bit of a grind.
I with C&C had bigger maps and as much of storey these games have. I wish C&C also had more units like these games.
